" There's one to fit all of your Acoustic Amplification Needs "

The idea of cutting into your favorite guitar to install an onboard preamp can be a scary proposition, however the reward can be great. With a little woodworking knowledge and a lot of patience, the results are well worth it. Measure Twice and Cut once and take your time. Feel free to e mail me with tips, suggestions, pictures or your own experiance with an install and I will post it to share plus I will give you a deal on your next Artec unit. I am not or do I claim to be a Luthier but I enjoy working on my own or my freinds guitars.

Installation of ASE BL,Step by step pictures

These are pictures of an install I did on my Martin. In about
an hour I went from a thin sounding Piezo to a warm sounding
two way blender.

Below is a quote from Ron with " New Future Vintage"

Hi Bryan--
I've successfully installed the HT-TBL!  It's turned out great, and it sounds fantastic. I've attached a pic of the unit installed into an Art & Luthiere Ami acoustic.  A friend compared it to his b-band system he paid $400 to have installed in a much nicer guitar, and this sounds substantially better for a lot less money.

Read "Artec Methodology"  for an explanation of the samples.

A few tips:
How to install the battery holder.
Some of the units, CLE3 and EPP have a seperate battery holder which are held in by wood screws.  How do you get this screwed inside the guiter? You don't. Get a peice of wood, screw the battery holder to the peice wood first, then with some hide glue or wood glue, glue it inside the guitar.

Peizo pickups
I get several emails regarding the piezo pickups not having the same response on all the strings. More often than not the problem is the pickup or saddle is not flat and or flush. If either is binding or debris is in the saddle slot, the response will not be even.
Another problem I have seen. If the instument input jack requires soldering, the red and white must be on the correct terminal as seen in the picture below.
